A routine in time






Here is a little experimental task I did base on time. when given the task I mostly thought about what do I do in my time and movement. Around the time of this project, I was traveling Back and forth to London. which reminded me of the journey I used to take when I was doing foundation and how I enjoy it. one of the things I love is the DLR, it is the best Type of transport for me. It's easy to access and you get a different overlook on London as the DLR goes thought the more Industrial places, for example, the golden Syrup Factory which Interests me. 


Idea One 
- I was going to use old Footage of my Journey that I used to take and then film the same place and then Compare how time has changed and what is still the same after all this time. But Unfortunately, my hard drive broke and I couldn't get the old Footage.

Idea Two - (what I ended up doing)
- As I couldn't get the footage for my hard drive I then thought more about routines and how we end up doing the same thing every day and it then becomes a cycle.

In this film, I used my phone camera as it was easy to hold during these journeys. I Experimented with time even further by using timelapse and Reversing the footage. I also did the same with the sound which was the background noise of the DLR

Portrait Idea 2

My 2nd ideas is more about someones movement within a photo and how time can be Captured in a Photograph. One of my Favourites types of photo I like to take is long light Exposure as it some where the light has Travelled and it makes you think about how long was the shutter speed open for. I am also very interested In time and how Confusing and misleading it can be and how do you Capture time. so I started to take photos of people moving with the shutter speed open for about 15 Seconds. I also used the blue flash light in some of the photos to see if it shows a more Interesting effect.                                                                                                              ...
