Idea One
- Kind of a dystopian feel of questioning what the future is and what will humans be. will we still be classed as a human? what will we look like? how will we live?
I could make a portrait of evolution of what we make become as humans.
I really like this idea but I don't know how I would do this. I may use this idea for one of the experimental films tasks.

Idea Two
- Take photos of people who have lost their home and have been forced to move out due to changes in the area and demolishing buildings
I could look at the pros and cons of these changes
Talk to the people in the area and take photos of them and there Demolish flat or house and may be using an old photo that they have of their home and using photoshop overlap the images and see what happens.
During me being stuck I thought about maybe making a series based on people and their Surrounding and the Relationship between them.
So I started just taking photos for the fun of it and playing around with my flatmates and playing around with lighting.
John Baldessari
Throwing Three Balls in the Air to Get a Straight Line
I looked at John Baldessari work and I thought about making a series Based on journeys.so I started to take photos of journeys.
Then I went home and I go thought Woolwich and It made me think about gentrification and Division. as there is a wall that Divides Woolwich
Then I started to Research the Berlin wall and how it was Dividing the city
New ideas
I then thought about having a smart man on one side of the wall and someone in tracksuit on the other side
Feed back
- take photos from different views points of the wall
- interview people who live in the area and have their view on
-Research more walls

This series is about how one place can be divided as if you were in two different places, depending on your perspective and how the gentrified version of Woolwich has changed this place. Modern buildings are now being placed where there is strong historical significance, replacing the old with the new.
This is a really cool idea, when you look at your photos they really stand out to me. The edits are really intresting too, over all they come together to form a beautiful piece.
ReplyDeleteyour process was really interesting, some lovely photos
ReplyDeleteI love the use of almost ghost images for part of the building, where it's something lingering past the point it should have left by.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of compositions, and the way they mesh. You managed to select images that work well together, and mesh, due to the similar settings, but they are still clearly distinguishable, which really works to aid your message. The naming of the project was interesting too, I enjoyed the almost 'marketing'-like tone it gave the images.
ReplyDeleteThe way you blended the two images was really nice, when I was looking at them I was really trying to work out where it was and determine the difference between them which I liked. It makes you think about how this place is one yet so divided. Also the title works well. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how in-depth and thoughtful this project was for you. It's such a strong journey, and you ended up with such a powerful statement. You took so many different images and went through so many different ideas, and I do think the effort was well worth it. I adore your piece and the final edits you did in post. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really like the exploration of the place and the nature of it being shown through the photographs it's really nice :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone from similar parts to you I really appreciate how well you've captured the social and class divide thats being championed by the gentrification of the southeast. The series is very strong and you put lots of effort in that is obvious in the final pieces x
ReplyDeleteYour the point line work caught my interest, though your strongest work is in your chosen images.
ReplyDeleteI think that your intent of division between classes works nicely, the overlay effect didnt really take away from it in my opinion, and i think rather enforced the idea of gentrification.
