Ben Langlands and Nikki Bell - Air routes of the world



Ben langlands and Nikki Bell made prints which is based on airline routes and networks across the world. The airports in this work are the dots on this print and they are Connected with these lines that makes this art piece Abstract and maybe mistaken for star constellations. this piece of work also show alternative map of the world and show us where is the most Popular locations. I like this piece as even though its doesn't show the map of the world you can still see the outline of different countries just by the airline routes.










                       olafur eliasson

I then looked at Olafur eliasson work called yellow versus purple which is at the tate. its an Installation Piece where a transparent yellow disc of colour-effect glass is hagging from the Ceiling and attached to a motor. and a white beam of light hits the disc creating a  Circle yellow shadow which changes shape  as the disc spins. the glass also reflects the light producing a purple shadow that also moves around the room creating like an Eclipse effect. viewers are able to walk though the installation so shapes and colours cover their bodies. Olafur explores the artistic and scientific characteristics of light and colour. This piece reminds me of one of my ideas the idea of mapping time with light and shadows.

Portrait Series Presentation Idea One  - Kind of a dystopian feel of questioning what the future is and what will humans be. will we still be classed as a human? what will we look like? how will we live? I could make a portrait of evolution of what we make become as humans.  I really like this idea but I don't know how I would do this. I may use this idea for one of the experimental films tasks. Portrait Idea 2

My 2nd ideas is more about someones movement within a photo and how time can be Captured in a Photograph. One of my Favourites types of photo I like to take is long light Exposure as it some where the light has Travelled and it makes you think about how long was the shutter speed open for. I am also very interested In time and how Confusing and misleading it can be and how do you Capture time. so I started to take photos of people moving with the shutter speed open for about 15 Seconds. I also used the blue flash light in some of the photos to see if it shows a more Interesting effect.                                                                                                              ...
