My Soundscape - NoWhere

NoWhere

As I was stuck on the poem i was working on ,I was looking at other poems. I knew that i wanted some think that was dark and had fantasy creatures as am looking at artemis fowl books and at the moment i am Interested in that kind of genres. I found this poem called NoWhere By Winter https://hellopoetry.com/poem/1492718/nowhere/ .

when reading this poem i had a idea of what it would sound like and i wanted to tell a story with it .
-part 1 -someone sitting in a dark corner of a castle which is their mind.
part 2 - the person is traped and he can't seem to get out .
part 3- where they are trapped they are being tortured by there own mind

sound list
i am going to use some of the sound that i used for the first piece of text i was going to do.

- walking
-creaky noise
- screams
- crying
-stabing sounds
- sounds of different Creatures
-whispering sounds
-banging sounds
- Castle sounds like a door
- water dripping
- find a sound for shadows

I ended up recording a lot even though i didn't really need some of it.

As i was stuck on what piece of text to do kylan showed me When will the forest speak? by Skith
which made me think of editing the voice or getting George to make strange noises.

     Editing

Here I have started editing by  playing around with the whispering sounds and over layering them i did try pitch shift but I liked how it was originally.

Here was adding a plugin for the whole track which I used D Verb the church effect as it made the closes sound that would come from a castles

Here I was controlling the volume and I did add key frames to make some parts of the sound quiter then others parts.

Here I was playing around with pitch shift and making the wipers hight and lower. i also did this to the footsteps to make more of a deeper sound of a Creature walking to make it sound more dark,

Here I was playing around with the delay effect for the voices.
overall i have enjoy making the sound piece even though it was hard to find a passage and stick to it. I did add quite a lot of D verbs in this piece as I wanted it to feel like you was in a Castle. I also used pitch shift to make some of the sounds deeper and more like a Creature.
