Imagining reality, Community Documentary, Pre-Production
We stared this project by staring to talk about what ideas we all had for the documentary. I was unsure a first but i knew i wanted to question the idea of what is a documentry and push the boundaries on what a documenty is. I also wanted to do somethink that was experimental and had a art element to it. I then decided to draw my idea out as a storyboard to make it easyer for me to explain to my group what I was talking about.
My ideas was to talk about the student community and how we feel as students. I know that a lot of us have views on student finance and how they esses how much we can have based on how much our parents earn and where we come from. Also why we have to pay over £9000 a year to learn when it used to be £3000. What is the differents from then to now its not like the teaching is different form then to now, tutors havent been trained any differently form then. so I thought about getting students to come together and create this giant ball and write what they feel. after that rool this giant ball around like a Protest.
We all had a lot of good ideas for this project one was doing a documentary about farnham rants and re create sceens of what happened thought animation and other visuals. one was about poetry and music. As it was very hard to pick one idea, so we thought about combineing all the ideas together and that ill do my idea from another time. so our doctumentry was going to have elements of different communites and explore what a community is.
we all decided that we would try out different roles to film this but we did have main roles for example I was the main editor but we helped out with other parts of the documentry too.
Chloe the producer did good job making plans on what we was doing each day for the next 2 weeks and also sorted out the risk Assessment.
The Plan
We also did a storyboard on what shots we wanted and what parts were going where. some parts havent been filled in as we dont know what people are going to say when we interview them.
